Woman goes on tirade against Dalits, video goes viral

New Delhi: A video of a woman abusing Dalits has gone viral on social media. In the video, the as yet unidentified woman can be heard using abuses and derogatory terms for the Dalits. The video has not yet been authenticated.

The reason for her gripe with the Dalit community seems to be the reservations in government jobs. In the video that was posted on Twitter, the woman can be heard blaming and abusing the Dalits for taking jobs away from the upper castes and for creating an imbalance in society.

The most disturbing part of the video is the fact the woman is smiling while abusing the Dalits, repeatedly referring to them as ‘Ch****’, a term used for people considered “untouchable” by the caste system.

“I am not able to get a government job…should have been born a ch****. At least I would have gotten a government job,” she can be heard saying in the viral video.

Then, pointing to her head, she says that the Dalits have been seated there while the “position of the general castes has been lowered”. Repeating the derogatory term, she said that the community doesn’t have any social standing.

Towards the end of the video and after her tirade against the Dalits, the woman says that she “loves” Prime Minister Narendra Modi and then goes on to abuse Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
