Kasargod: Sleuths of the excise intelligence bureau, on Monday, October 8 confiscated two kilograms of drugs in possession of a woman in Palakkad. The woman, Sindhuja, 21, had concealed the drugs meant for delivery to a person in Thrissur in her bag.
According to the officials the drugs were supposed to be dispatched to Oman, where it could be worth at least Rs 8 crore. They also informed that she was paid Rs 1 lakh for smuggling the drugs from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh to Thrissur and that she was supposed to hand them to a person called Muhammed Jabir.
