A 40-year-old woman was tragically killed in Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh, on Sunday. Local police have identified the victim as Lakshmi Bai. She was attacked in the remote Gudra village under Kutru police station. Authorities say a group of armed individuals stormed the village early in the morning, dragged Lakshmi Bai from her home, and accused her of providing information to the authorities. This type of accusation is often used to instill fear within local communities.
After the attack, her body was left in a nearby forest, and the perpetrators fled the scene. Villagers quickly informed the police, and a team was sent to the area. However, by the time they arrived, the attackers had already disappeared, leaving little evidence behind. Authorities suspect that this act was part of an ongoing effort to control the area and discourage any support for law enforcement.
An investigation has been launched, with police working closely with local villagers to identify those responsible. In response to the incident, authorities have stepped up security measures in the region to prevent further violence and ensure the safety of residents.
