Noida: An Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, Saurabh Meena, was arrested in connection with the suicide of a woman whose body was discovered hanging from a noose in his upscale Noida apartment.
Allegations from Ms. Gautam’s family suggest a complex narrative of a relationship between her and Saurabh, spanning three years, initiated through a dating app. However, Saurabh contests this, asserting their acquaintance began only three months prior. The family accuses Saurabh of reneging on promises of marriage, leading to purported mistreatment and clashes.
Mr. OP Gautam, Shilpa’s father, escalated the matter by implicating Saurabh in his daughter’s death, alleging manipulation and abuse. Following the complaint, the police arrested Saurabh, and he now faces judicial proceedings.
Manish Kumar Mishra, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Noida, assured thorough investigation into the case. The authorities are awaiting autopsy results while combing through mobile records and surveillance footage to reconstruct the events preceding Shilpa’s tragic demise.
