Mumbai: India’s best Comedian Kapil Sharma who makes everyone laugh with his jokes was not being funny on Friday morning when he referred to ‘Achhe Din’ and tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi in angst-ridden tweets complaining about corruption.
In his tweets, Sharma alleged that he was demanded Rs 5 lakh bribe by an unnamed Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official or officials for making his office. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis then responded to the tweet saying that he has ordered strict action against the official and also said that the culprit won’t be spared.
Sharma’s tweet was re-tweeted over 2,500 times in three hours. After CM Fadnavis’ tweet, the BMC also requested Kapil Sharma to file a formal complaint. He was also asked to reveal the name of the officer who demanded a bribe from him.
Kapil hosts a popular comedy show – The Kapil Sharma Show on a channel. His show has so far featured many celebreties including cricketers and Bollywood stars. He has also mentioned earlier that he would love to have PM Modi on his show.
