New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a strong attack on Rahul Gandhi, branding him a “namuna” (specimen) and accusing Congress of intentionally keeping the Ayodhya issue alive. In an interview with ANI, he criticized Rahul’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, calling it “Bharat Todo Abhiyan” (Break India Campaign) and alleging that he works against India’s interests.
Criticism of Congress’ Legacy
Adityanath questioned the Congress party’s governance over the decades, challenging its lack of development. He remarked, “Shouldn’t India strive for greatness? What was Congress doing for 60 years? Rahul should ask his family why they didn’t act back then.”
The UP CM credited PM Narendra Modi for achieving what Congress couldn’t, citing projects like the Ram Mandir construction, triple talaq abolition, and Kumbh Mela promotion as key successes.
Jinnah & Aurangzeb Controversy
Taking a jab at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Adityanath accused him of glorifying figures like Jinnah, Babar, and Aurangzeb. He claimed that those who admire such figures share their ideologies, hinting at past controversies surrounding Yadav’s remarks.
With elections approaching, this political war of words is expected to intensify further.
