The Al-Rantisi children’s specialized hospital is the target of Israeli attacks, according to the Gaza Health Minister on Wednesday.
Four people have died as a result of the hospital being directly targeted, according to the ministry, and seventy others have been injured, including in-patients, medical personnel, and internally displaced people who were seeking safety within the hospital.
According to the report, the American Palestine Children’s Relief Society’s Oncology and Hematology departments were the primary targets of the hospital’s attack.
The Gaza health ministry said that targeting the hospital and calling for its evacuation threatens the lives of 15 children who are on life support at the Oncology and Hematology Center.
It said that the bombing also threatened the lives of 38 people who attend the only artificial kidney department designated for children in the Gaza.
It said that the attack has put the lives of thousands of patients, medical staff, and IDPs at risk of death. The bombing also included basic means of life in the hospital, such as water tanks and solar energy panels.
Approximately 3,000 children in Gaza who are afflicted with cancer receive treatment services from the hospital, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
According to the report, the medical teams were being contacted by the Israeli military on a regular basis, requesting that they leave the hospital.
According to the report, hospital employees reiterated their stance against leaving their positions in order to continue caring for hospitalized children.
