Kalaburagi Lokayukta SP Orders Immediate Clean-Up After Garbage Piles Found
Kalaburagi Lokayukta SP John Anthony has issued a stern directive to the Kalaburagi City Corporation (KCC) officials to ensure the city remains clean and hygienic. During a recent inspection of the Supermarket area near the LIC office, Anthony discovered large piles of garbage, with pigs scavenging through the waste.
Sanitary Inspector Mallikarjun was called to address the situation. Anthony expressed frustration over the neglect and questioned the inspector about the enforcement of cleanliness regulations. He inquired about the fines imposed on shops for improper waste disposal and the actions taken against businesses selling plastic.
Mallikarjun informed Anthony that fines had been levied on shops selling plastic and notices had been issued. Despite these measures, Anthony criticized the lack of effective garbage removal and instructed the inspector to clear the waste within two days. He also announced plans to inspect other congested areas in the city in the coming days to ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
This action underscores the commitment to improving urban cleanliness and addresses ongoing issues with waste management in Kalaburagi.
