On November 6, an 11-year-old boy, Syed Muktar Hashmi, was kidnapped while visiting his grandparents’ house in Kalaburagi. The boy had been spending time with his mother, Syeda Sameena Anjum, and younger sister, Shamista Alumeera, while their father was working abroad in Dubai. The family had traveled to Kalaburagi for a short visit, unaware of the shocking events that would unfold.

According to Syeda Sameena, on the evening of November 6, Syed Muktar left their residence to go to a nearby masjid. When he did not return after some time, the family grew concerned and began searching for him. Hours passed, but there was no sign of the boy. The situation took a distressing turn when, later that evening, around 9 p.m., the family discovered a ransom note placed near their front door.

The note, which appeared to be from the abductors, demanded a hefty ransom of Rs 22 lakh in exchange for the safe return of Syed Muktar. It also contained a chilling warning, threatening harm to the boy if the police were notified. This revelation left the family in a state of fear and anxiety, as they were unsure of their son’s safety and the authenticity of the demand.

Distressed and desperate, Syeda Sameena immediately reported the matter to the University Police Station in Kalaburagi, initiating an official investigation into the abduction. The police launched a search operation to locate Syed Muktar and apprehend those responsible for the crime. Authorities are working tirelessly to gather clues and trace the whereabouts of the boy, despite the pressure of the ransom demand.

This case has raised concerns regarding child safety and the rise in such incidents, where criminals target vulnerable families. The police are focusing on the lead provided by the ransom note and are seeking help from various sources, including surveillance footage and local intelligence, to resolve the matter quickly. With limited information at this stage, authorities are urging the public to come forward with any relevant information that could aid in the investigation.

The family’s anguish is compounded by the fact that they had come to Kalaburagi for a peaceful visit, only to be thrust into a harrowing situation. Syeda Sameena is worried not only about the wellbeing of her son but also about the fear of further harm if the criminals’ demands are not met. The boy’s sister, Shamista, and the rest of the family are anxiously waiting for his safe return.

Local residents are also shocked by the incident, as it highlights the vulnerability of families in such cases of kidnapping. Community members are rallying behind the family, hoping that law enforcement will be able to resolve the situation promptly. The police have assured the public that they are fully committed to investigating the case and bringing the perpetrators to justice.

As the investigation continues, there is growing hope that Syed Muktar will soon be reunited with his family. The police remain determined to track down the kidnappers and ensure that such incidents are prevented in the future.
