Kalburgi: The Kottala Basaveshwara Bharatiya Shiksha Samiti in Sedam is organising an Indian Culture Festival to commemorate its 50th anniversary. The event is expected to attract over 30 lakh participants from various parts of the country.
Sadashiva Swamiji of Kottala Basaveshwara Temple made the announcement during a Vikasa Path Yatra programme held in Rangampet. The festival, scheduled to take place from January 29 to February 6, 2025, will feature a range of conferences, including Matru Samavesh, Educational, Youth, Agriculture, Food and Health, Self-Employment, and Seva Shakti.
Prominent figures such as former President Ram Nath Kovind, renowned pontiffs, governors, chief ministers, and scholars are expected to attend and contribute to the event. The festival will also recognise 51 Padma Shri awardees, 51 achievers from Kalyan Karnataka and India, and 51 non-resident Indian achievers.
The organisers are making arrangements for separate boarding and lodging facilities for men and women and are seeking the cooperation of the public for the successful conduct of the festival.
Several dignitaries, including Gurushanthamurthy Shivacharya of Rukmapura Hire Math, Channamallikarjuna Shivacharya of Lakshmipur Srigiri Math, and Vikasa Academy Convener HC Patil, participated in the programme and expressed their support for the Indian Culture Festival.
