Chandra Arya enters race for Canada’s Prime Minister position with bold vision

Chandra Arya, a Member of Parliament of Indian origin representing Nepean, has officially announced his candidacy for Prime Minister of Canada. Arya, originally from Tumkur district in Karnataka, filed his nomination and addressed the House in Kannada, marking his entry into the political race.

Having completed his MBA from Dharwad before relocating to Canada, Arya’s political journey has garnered significant attention. Earlier this week, he declared his intention to run for the role of Canada’s Prime Minister following an announcement from current Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who revealed his plans to step down while remaining in office until a successor is chosen.

In a social media post on January 13, Arya emphasized the need for bold political decisions to address the structural challenges facing the nation. “We must make decisive choices to ensure prosperity for our future generations,” he wrote.

Arya has been vocal in condemning certain actions in Canada, including the celebration of Indira Gandhi’s assassination by some Khalistan supporters and the defacing of Hindu temples. He promised to run for the Liberal leadership, offering a vision for Canada as a “sovereign republic” with necessary, bold reforms.

“I am running to lead a smaller, more effective government to rebuild our nation and secure prosperity for future generations,” Arya stated. He acknowledged the financial struggles of Canadians, particularly the working middle class, and vowed to tackle pressing affordability issues.

With a firm belief in strengthening ties with India, Arya sees it as a key market for Canada’s exports and a vital source of talent. His campaign focuses on making tough decisions to restore hope, create equal opportunities, and rebuild Canada’s economy.
