Dammam: According to travel agencies, air fares from Mangaluru to Gulf countries have become expensive from past one month and the fares will continue to remain the same till the end of July.

A non-stop flight from Dammam to Mangaluru has reached Rs. 50,000, which is more expensive than travelling to all other countries. While almost all flights from Mangaluru to Gulf countries are seeing full bookings, there has been a steep increase in airfares due to the huge demand, according to sources in the airlines.

In the post-Covid days, the ticket price for two-way was less than Rs. 25,000. Now the same rate has gone up to Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 40,000. Airfare from Bahrain to Mangaluru has crossed Rs. 50,000. On normal days, two-way on this route costs within Rs. 40,000, add sources. .

All flight operations are flying as usual due to normalcy in the Gulf countries post Covid – 19. This is the reason why there is a huge demand for Gulf airlines. Apart from this, most of the people are booking tickets to return home as there is a holiday in the Gulf countries. Due to this, of course, there has been a huge increase in ticket prices. A staff member of a travel agency said that ticket prices will be back to normal after July.
