Doha, Qatar: The Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) organised a heartfelt farewell event at the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), Doha, to honour Sri Narayan Rao and Smt. Shobha Rao, as they prepare to leave Qatar after 28 years and return to India.

The event was a tribute to Sri Narayan Rao’s unwavering commitment to KSQ and other Indian community organisations, particularly his expertise in auditing and financial statement preparation, which played a crucial role in maintaining the financial discipline of various associations under ICC and the Embassy of India.

A Tribute to Decades of Service

The farewell ceremony commenced with a warm welcome by KSQ General Secretary Kumar Swamy, who set the tone for the evening, followed by Environmental & Logistics Secretary Shashidhar HB, who led the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony, a symbol of wisdom and gratitude.

The event was attended by prominent KSQ members, past and present leaders, and members of the wider Kannadiga and Indian community in Qatar, all gathered to acknowledge Sri Narayan Rao’s significant contributions.

KSQ President Ravi Shetty expressed deep appreciation for Sri Narayan Rao’s long-standing service, not only to KSQ but also to other social, spiritual, and professional organisations.
