The second edition of the Karnataka International Travel Expo (KITE) 2025 will take place from February 26 to 28 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bengaluru. Organized by the Government of Karnataka and the Department of Tourism, the event highlights the state’s tourism sector, promotes business opportunities, and reinforces Karnataka’s standing as a key global travel hub.
As part of the event, the Karnataka Tourism Department has organized tours for international tourism buyers across various districts. On February 23, a group of 15 buyers from France, Germany, England, Korea, Norway, Singapore, Ireland, Israel, and Malaysia visited Udupi district. During their visit, they explored renowned tourist destinations such as Sri Krishna Matha, Handicraft Heritage Village Museum, Malpe Beach, St. Mary’s Island, Trasi Maravanthe Beach, and Sai Dining.
The buyers were treated to lunch at Malpe Paradise Isle Resort, while UVA Meridian, Koteshwar, arranged their accommodation, dinner, and cultural programs. Key attendees at the event included the CEO of Udupi Zilla Panchayat, the assistant director of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Udupi, and officials from the Tourism Department, along with the owners of UVA Meridian, Koteshwar.
At the conclusion of their visit, the international buyers praised Udupi’s stunning natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and delectable local cuisine. They expressed their commitment to promoting Udupi as a prime destination for global travelers.
