AJAX Charitable Trust, in collaboration with the Karnataka school education department and under the Shala Dattu Yojana initiative, is set to launch a new skill training centre in Bashetihalli, Doddaballapura. The centre will focus on industry-relevant programs in areas such as construction technology and digital literacy, aimed at enhancing youth employability and providing long-term career opportunities.
The initiative is part of the Trust’s broader efforts to align education with local employment needs, giving students the tools to succeed in the workforce. “By offering training in specialized fields, we aim to bridge the gap between education and employability,” said Vijay K, Chairman of AJAX Charitable Trust. “Our goal is not only to equip students with academic knowledge but also with the practical skills needed for a sustainable career.”
In addition to the training centre, AJAX Charitable Trust has already made notable strides in improving educational outcomes. The Government Higher Primary School (GHPS) in Bashetihalli, which benefited from the Trust’s interventions, saw its enrolment soar from 400 to over 800 students in recent years. The success extends to 12 other government schools across Doddaballapur, Gowribidanur, and Shivamogga, where enrolment, teacher retention, and classroom engagement have all seen significant improvement.
Vijay K emphasized that the forthcoming skill training centre will help foster economic mobility and further uplift communities through education and employability-focused initiatives.
