Ballari: In a heartfelt gesture, residents of Ballari have named a prominent link road in the Kappagallu area SS Nakul Marg to honor former Deputy Commissioner SS Nakul, who served the district from 2020 to 2022. Known for his exceptional public service and empathetic approach, Nakul is fondly remembered as one of Ballari’s finest administrators.

During his tenure, Nakul gained widespread admiration for his approachable demeanor, prompt responses to public grievances, and dedicated efforts, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic. His contributions earned him the status of a local hero, with one couple even naming their child after him in gratitude for the assistance they received during their Covid treatment.

Nagendra Reddy, a Kappagallu resident, highlighted Nakul’s unique ability to connect with people and officials alike. “He was not just an administrator but also someone who inspired others through his actions, such as admitting his wife to a government hospital for delivery, setting a powerful example,” he said.

Typically, IAS officers are perceived as reserved, but Nakul’s approachability and commitment have left a lasting impact on the community. With permission from the municipal corporation, residents installed the signboard for SS Nakul Marg, commemorating his legacy.

Nakul, currently serving in the Union government, continues to inspire admiration for his exemplary service and dedication to the people of Ballari.
