Ballari Races Against Time for CM’s Review Meet in Bengaluru
Ballari: Ahead of the state-level progress review scheduled in Bengaluru on May 21 and 22, Ballari district administration is intensifying its preparations. The high-level meeting will be chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, prompting a thorough review of departmental performances.
Deputy Commissioner Prashant Kumar Mishra, during a coordination meeting on Thursday, instructed all departments to submit detailed progress reports. He emphasized the need for precise updates on key development works and schemes across the district, ahead of the CM’s interaction with district officials.
A major focus is on water supply management—both rural and urban—where departments must report on water testing, chlorination, and supply mechanisms. Agricultural statistics including sowing patterns, fertiliser logistics, and crop insurance enrolments are also to be compiled.
Officers have been asked to provide updates on the implementation of the Ganga Kalyana scheme. Urban development officials were told to fast-track pending Indira Canteens and share detailed reports on CCTV installations and maintenance at existing facilities.
Performance evaluations of major government welfare schemes such as Shakti, Anna Bhagya, Gruhalakshmi, Gruha Jyoti, and Yuvanidhi are essential. Challenges faced during implementation must also be highlighted.
Additionally, data must be submitted on tax collections, B-Khata campaign status, Forest Rights Act applications, SCP-TSP fund usage, SC/ST atrocity cases, and grievance redressal under Janata Darshan.
All reports must follow the prescribed format and be submitted to the DC’s office within a week.
