Amit Shah to visit Belagavi to sway voters on April 13

Belagavi: On the backdrop of the rising election fever, BJP National President Amit Shah will visit Belagavi district on April 13, to motivate party workers.

In a press conference held here on Wednesday, April 11, BJP MP Suresh Angadi informed that the BJP supremo will garland the statue of Kittur Rani Chennamma. The schedule of Shah’s visit includes an interaction with students in Belagavi, women’s convention in Nipppani and a road show in Gokak, he said.

Angadi also accused the Congress leaders of involving in sending threatening SMSes about Amit Shah’s visit to Gokak. He alleged that the Panchayat Development Officers, Tahsildars and other government officials are working under political pressure. He also reminded the officers they should perform their service for governance and not for politicians.

The MP said that the Election Commission had failed to perform its duties fearlessly, so far and urged the District Electoral Officer to take strict action and promptly enforce the model code of conduct.

BJP leaders Rajendra Harakuni and Anil Benke were present during the press meet.
