Bagalakote: Independent candidate Mallikarjuna Charantimath, who is committed to the development of Bagalakote Constituency, was greeted by the voters of Shiroor Town with flowers and accorded him a grand welcome.
Speaking at a meeting in the village later, Mallikarjuna Charantimath said, “You have elected several politicians. However, the winners have done selfish politics instead of serving the constituency and the people. Realising all this, he appealed to the voters to come forward for a change this time and vote for the self-respecting autorickshaw identity.
“Those who have come from house to house with a cow’s face and wanted me to win, today after winning, are doing politics with a jackal’s mind. If people win because they promise to serve the people of the constituency, and then they are not responding to the sufferings of the people, then it is time to reject them. This time people know everything and will give a befitting reply to the jackal-minded politician. If an autorickshaw wins, self-respecting people win, he asserted.
He said the autorickshaw was standing ready for the development of the constituency and requested the people to bless him.
