Belagavi: Social Welfare and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary has said that the details of the caste census conducted by the State Backward Classes Commission will be released soon after speaking to the Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Replying to a question by BJP Member K. P. Nanjundi during question hour in the Legislative Council on Friday December 23, he said the H. Kantharaj Commission, which was constituted earlier, has submitted its report to the Government. However, it needs to be re-examined,” said Jayaprakash Hegde, Chairman of the Backward Classes Commission. He said the details of the report would be made public soon.
K. P. Nanjundi objected to this and said that the Government has been saying this for the last four years. The details of the report have not yet been made public, he said.
Minister Poojary assured that he would discuss with the Chief Minister as soon as possible and make the details of the report public.
