Belagavi marked Republic Day with a spirited celebration as The Times of India hosted its popular Happy Streets event on Mahatma Phule Road. Transforming a busy thoroughfare into a lively recreational space, the one-side road closure early in the morning set the stage for joy, wellness, and community bonding. Sponsored by Bhima Gold, the event blended fitness and fun, attracting families, friends, and individuals of all ages for an unforgettable experience.

Activities for All Ages
Residents thronged to the event, which marked the second in a series of three Sunday celebrations. Activities ranged from yoga sessions led by Art of Living instructors to energetic Bollywood and patriotic dance routines by MJ Dance Fitness. Dedicated children’s zones featured life-sized games like Snake and Ladder, drawing and painting by Studio Tarang, and carrom games that rekindled nostalgia among adults.

Fitness enthusiasts enjoyed martial arts training by United Sports and Fitness Academy, boxing lessons, tug-of-war contests, and football drills. Artist Parashuram engaged visitors with live sketch demonstrations, while hobby enthusiasts explored creative outlets at Studio Tarang.

Community Spirit and Wellness
The event, co-sponsored by Shodha Toyota and supported by Belagavi City Police, created a vibrant and safe atmosphere for families. Participants lauded the initiative for promoting health and community bonding.
