Belagavi: Reacting to the audio clip of Siddaramaiah speaking about giving Rs. 500 for the people to make them attend programmes, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that from the very beginning the situation was same and now the truth has come out. It’s no surprise but is his legacy, he stressed.

Speaking to mediapersons on Thursday March 2, Chief Minister said that the situation has been the same since the beginning. The truth has been revealed by his words. I have informed the people about it,” he said.

Replying to Siddaramaiah’s allegation that the Government had not given funds for the development of the Fort, he said that if he had released even a penny for the development of the Fort during his rule from 2013 to 2018, he would be called and he would get to inaugurate it. “It is our Government that has given Rs 50 Lakh. We are the ones who have done the work, and thus we have dedicated it to the people, which is our right,” he said.

Responding to a question on whether local MLAs have not been invited for the inauguration, he said, “The Government has given grants and the Government will also inaugurate it. We have no objection if they contribute anything from their party,” he said.
