Belagavi: On April 17, the very first day of the start of nominations for Karnataka assembly elections, Anand Vishvanath Mamani of the BJP who is contesting from Saudatti Yallamma constituency, filed his nomination papers. He was the first candidate to submit nomination papers in Belagavi district.
Mamani arrived at the Tahsildar’s office in Saudatti, escorted by hundreds of party workers at 11:30 AM and submitted the nomination papers to Returning Officer D S Hawaldar.
