Belagavi: Continuing his attack on the BJP, actor Prakash Raj compared the national party to cancer and called upon voters to vote them out.
Speaking to reporters in Belagavi, on Wednesday, he said that while the BJP is like the dreaded cancer, other major party like the Congress and regional party JD(S) are like cough and fever!
“I will not vouch for any party, but having said that I would request people not to vote in favour of the BJP because it dishonours and disregards the Constitution, ” he said.
“My fight is not governed by any political colour. In fact, I doubt all the political parties. However, turning point in my life was murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh and the celebrations around her death. When I questioned communalism, I was asked to go to Pakistan and attempts were made to portray me as anti-Hindu,” he said adding that the trend is dangerous.
