Belagavi: In a horrific accident on National Highway-4 near Honaga on Wednesday, June 27 claimed the life of an elder brother who was travelling to meet his younger brother in Belagavi.
The deceased has been identified as Javed Hussain Mushrif (65) resident of Miraj, Maharashtra.
According to police sources, Javed along with his family was travelling in Omni car to meet his brother who had been unwell in Belagavi.
Reportedly, the driver who was trying to remove the belt lost control of the vehicle and it crashed into a parked lorry. In the impact, Javed lost his life whereas his wife Sababi Mushrif (50), and children Arif Altaf Mushrif (17) and Safiza Mushrif (15) sustained injuries.
A case has been registered in Kakati Police station.
