Belagavi: The mortal remains of contractor Santosh Patil was brought to Badas, his native village here on early morning of Thursday April 14.
The mortal remains was brought under police escort amid his villagers gathered in thousands to pay their respects. Meanwhile Santosh’s family members agreed to conduct his last rites after assurance by senior police officials that action will be taken against the accused.
Contractor Santosh Patil died by suicide on Tuesday April 12 in a lodge at Udupi blaming Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister K. S. Eshwarappa for his death.
