Dharwad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in District to inaugurate the National Youth Festival organised by the Central and State Governments in the Twin Cities from January 12 to 16 to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. More than 7,500 delegates from different states and cultural ambassadors of their respective states will participate in the festival and showcase their art and culture, said Union Minister Pralhad Joshi.
He was speaking to mediapersons after visiting various places for organising a youth festival in the City. The District Administration has started preparations to successfully organise the Rashtriya Yuvajanotsava and introduce the art, culture, literature and food products of Dharawad to the nation. The District Administration has identified various places in the City for organising sports and cultural competitions, programmes such as painting, music, dance, song, youth conclave, etc, he noted.
“A food mela will be organised at the Yuva Janotsav and an exhibition and sale of food products from various states will also be held,” he said.
