Dharawad: “Raising reservation for scheduled communities in the State and the struggle for several years over internal reservation while everyone was saying that this cannot be done. In the political circles, it was said that this should not be done, and there was a debate. No one could do this,” said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking at the felicitation ceremony, he said, “without proper shelter, without daily wage labour, the children who are facing social injustice cannot be educated. This community has always been in trouble,” he noted.
“It has been 75 years since independence but they have not got independence. For whom is this freedom, this Constitution, and this democracy. Status is not eternal. I have millions of brothers and relatives in you people,” he said.
