Dharawad: Former Minister K. N. Gaddi opined that mass marriages can curb unnecessary extravagance.

Participating as the Chief guest at a mass marriage function held in the memory of the Mahantappa Veerappa Jinaga, brother of The Siddalingappa (Annappa), who worked hard for society’s upliftment and for the cause of pro-people, he said that it was a good idea to organise such mass marriages as the financial situation is not good after COVIDb-19 today.

Speaking on the occasion, Basavalinga Mahaswamiji of Gavi Matha advised the newlyweds to keep away the word ‘doubt’ in their lives. The work of Satish Jinaga’s family is commendable, he said and added that he should be given the strength to do more social service.

Siddeshwara Mahaswamiji of Hiremath, Shantaveera Mahaswamiji of Ramadurga, Veerendra Mahaswamiji of Nagalinga Swamy Matha and Shivakumara Mahaswami of Havanur Dalwai Matha graced the occasion.

Satish and Manthesh Jinaga distributed a cheque of Rs. 10,000 to Sanju Gurikar, a talented student who distributes newspapers. S. M. Pattanashetty, Annappa Bagi, Basappa Bendigeri, Ningappa Chavadi, Vijayakamara Atagura and others were felicitated on the occasion.
