Dharwad all set to host ‘Dharwad Sahitya Sambhrama’ from Jan 20-22

Dharwad: Cultural and educational hub Dharwad is all set to host “Dharwad Sahitya Sambhrama-2017”, a three-day literary meet here from January 20 to 22 at the Karnataka University campus.

Around 400 delegates including prominent writers, intellectuals, cine artistes, researchers and students have registered for the meet being organised by the Dharwad Sahitya Sambhrama Trust, which will be inaugurated by noted poet Prof. K S Nissar Ahmed at 10 am on January 20.

Informing this to media, veteran poet Channaveera Kanavi and noted critic Giraddi Govindraj who also is the Chairman of the organising committee said the meet comprised 23 sessions.

Reading and display of handwritten letters of noted writers, discussion on national water policy, kinds of literature, literature and philosophy among others, interaction with cine artiste Ramesh Aravind, screening of Kannada film “Allama” directed by noted actor, director T S Nagabharana are among the highlights of the sessions.

More than 300 writers will witness the meet where 28 book stalls will be set up to provide all kinds of literature to the readers. A live streaming of three-day programmes has been arranged on www.vividlipi.com, they said.

Karnataka University, Department of Kannada and Culture and Prajavani, Bengaluru have joined hands in organising this literary meet.
