Dharawad: The Maharashtra Cyber on Monday June 13 have busted a gang of five loan app agents who were extorting money. They used to blackmail victims by threatening to circulate morphed pictures on social media.
The accused are identified as Ahmed Raza Zahid Hussain (26), Kaif Kadari (22), Muftiyaz Basha Peerzade (21), Syed Athar (24) and Suhail Naseeruddin Syed (24). The five youth were nabbed from Dharawad.
They were arrested after a man from Bhandup in Mumbai lodged an FIR alleging harassment by loan app agents.
