Dharwad: For the second day, Income Tax officials in Dharwad scrutinised documents, bank pass books, jewellery purchases, and property papers of class one civil contractor U. B. Shetty and his brother Seetaram Shetty.
According to the sources, officials who had questioned both contractors on Thursday October 28 and went to their homes in Dasankoppa Circle and Vinayak Nagar on Friday afternoon October 29.
The officials interrogated the Shetty brothers once again, and then visited to the banks near U. B. Shetty’s residence and checked the bank accounts. The locker was also inspected by the officials.
As per the sources, another team has gathered information on jewellery purchases as well as scrutinised property documents.
