Dharwad: Senior journalist and “Hi Bangalore” tabloid publisher Ravi Belagere, who was admitted to the SDM hospital here on June 24, has been discharged today.
Under treatment for high blood pressure and diabetes, Ravi Belegere left to an undisclosed location after he came out of the hospital.
Ravi Belagere is facing arrest after the House privilege committee instructed police to nab him. Bengaluru police reached Dharwad to apprehend him but returned empty handed as he was hospitalised. It is said that no connection has been established with him after he left the hospital and his present location is unknown.
Many journalists had requested Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to intervene and prevent his arrest. Various elected representatives too had expressed reservations on the house committee order, it is learnt.
