Dharwad: The Samaj Parivartan Samudaya Chief SR Hiremath along with like-minded pro-people organizations, has written a letter to the President of India and Chief Justice of Supreme Court, seeking for urgent and effective enquiry into and remedial steps against the deteriorating situation in the High Court and subordinate courts of Karnataka and serious subversion and miscarriage of justice in corruption cases.

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday Hiremath said the National Committee for Protection of Natural Resources (NCPNR), Jana Sangram Parishat (JSP) have sent a detailed letter to the President and the CJI seeking to correct the fast deteriorating situation in Courts and subversion of justice relating to corruption by powerful individuals
and entities like former CM BS Yeddyurappa, Power minister DK Shivakumar, former ministers Katta Subramanya Naidu, Gali Janaradhan Reddy and the entities being the Associated Mining Company (AMC), Deccan Mining Syndicate (DMC) among others.

Hiremath alleged subversion / miscarriage of justice by subordinateCourts even in investigations ordered by Supreme Court. In the letterhe has also requested the CJI not to assign any judicial work toJustice Anand Byrareddy as he has been allegedly pronouncing the most preposterous judgments in case after case in matters relating to
corruption by individuals holding high office.

He said despite that the powerful individuals were indicted in several cases of corruption, land grab and nepotism but the High Court and theSub ordinate Courts have acquitted them of all charges in certaincases, which was uncalled for. Some of accused like wife of GaliJanardhan Reddy in illegal mining case of AMC was acquitted at trial
stage which leads to doubts in peoples mind, he said. While expressing deep faith in Judiciary of the country Hiremath hasrequested the President and the CJI to initiate corrective measures.
