Belagavi: KLE university Belgavi has bagged fourth place in the Swachhta Rankings 2017 for Higher Education Institutes category from Ministry of Human Resource and Development(MHRD).
KLE University is also the first vasity in Karnataka to win this award. Over 3,500 institutions from the country had participated, out of which 25 were selected for the awards in four different categories.
The award was conferred by the Union Minister of Human Resource Development. The programme was also attended by Dr. Satyendra Pal who is the minister of State for Human Resource Development, Higher Education.
Dr Prabhakar Kore, president of KLE University said that the central government has taken several initiatives to encourage healthy competition among institutions to maintain cleanliness in the campus.
