Hubballi: Members of Karnataka Rajya Vruthipara Shikshana Padavidhara Sangha have decided to undertake ‘Bengaluru Chalo’ in the second week of October demanding jobs or unemployment allowance from the government.

Speaking to reporters, Sangha’s State President Yellappa. M said, the Sangha will hold its second convention at Freedom Park in Bengaluru demanding that the state government either provide them with employment or monthly unemployment allowance.

Despite repeated appeals the state government has not fulfilled its assurances of hiring 18,000 school teachers for its primary schools adding that the process of appointment of teachers to government schools was being delayed as the government has plans to shut down these schools.

He demanded that the government should issue orders related to appointment of teachers at the government schools before the end of July.

He also demanded the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) to drop the clause of ‘compulsory English’ to apply for the post of non-teaching in the residential schools.
