Hubballi: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah spoke to Niranjan Hiremath, father of Neha Hiremath, over the phone today. He expressed grief over Neha’s demise and assured that the government stands with his family, promising swift justice for Neha, who was brutally killed by her former classmate Fayaz Khondunaik within BVB College premises in Hubballi on April 18.

Minister HK Patil, who visited Hiremath’s house in Bidnal, arranged the phone call between the CM and Niranjan.

“Very sorry for your loss, we are with you. Neha’s murder case has been handed over to CID, and a special court will be established for the completion of the trial within the timeframe,” the CM told Niranjan Hiremath over the phone.

Niranjan Hiremath expressed gratitude to the CM for handing over the case to CID and establishing a special court for the trial, as well as for extending support during this difficult phase of his life. He mentioned that all local leaders were cooperative and provided assistance to his family.

Speaking to reporters, HK Patil condemned the incident and expressed condolences to the grieving family.

Meanwhile, Hiremath regretted his recent statements against the CM, Home Minister, and Police Commissioner. He explained that he was emotional at that time and lacked knowledge of the complete developments.

Meanwhile, Neha’s mother has approached cyber crime police demanding action against a new Instagram account named FayazNeha from that account photos of Neha allegedly being circulated on online platforms.
