Belagavi: In a surprising incident on Saturday, several forest officials, including the Deputy Range Forest Officer, were injured due to an attack by honey bees on the Chapgaon-Hadalga road in Khanapur taluk.

The staff members were conducting their duties when they were suddenly swarmed by the bees. Those injured received immediate medical attention at the Nandgad Community Health Center. One staff member sustained more severe injuries and was subsequently admitted to the Belagavi District Hospital.

Assistant Conservator of Forests Sunita Nimbargi confirmed that all injured personnel are out of danger. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of forest officials while on duty, highlighting the need for precautionary measures in similar environments.
