Gadag: In the incumbent Congress government, the murderers and anti-social elements have become the first citizens and getting the royal treatment. The killers of four members of a family in Gadag must be hanged, said former chief minister and Gadag-Haveri Lok Sabha constituency BJP candidate Basavaraj Bommai.
On Saturday, Bommai visited the house of Gadag Town Municipality Vice-president Sunanda Bakle who along with three others done to death by the assailants on Friday.
Later, he told reporters that they were in total shock over the incident and so as the Bakle family. None had imagined that such an incident would happen. The assailants have to fear of law, police or the government and this shows to what extent the system has reached. A college student had been brutally murdered in Hubballi and on the same day four persons of a family had been killed. If the assailants do such acts, it would indicate the government’s patronage for them.
The murderers have become the first citizens and they have the political backing. Such incidents had been taking place due to the appeasement and vote bank politics of the Congress party.
Bommai said after the Congress government came to power, the anti-social elements and dacoits have entered the society. Such elements must be arrested within 24 hours.
Both Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Home Minister Dr G.Parameshwar have termed these incidents as simple. The state’s law and order has become the Sevak of the culprits. The criminals would wander freely if law and order situation worsen.
The CM has washed off his hands by tweeting. The people of Gadag were scared. In any state, where people feel scared to sleep peacefully, is called jungle Raj. The government has totally failed to protect people and it was defending by incidents happened in the previous regime. The BJP government had taken strong action after a girl was sexually assaulted in Chikmagalur and demanded the capital punishment. A similar action must be taken against two other incidents. ” Where is DGP and IGP? Have you paraded anti-social elements of North Karnataka? Did you parade anti-social elements of Gadag. The political pressure is on police against taking action and the cops are helpless.
The former CM said that his government had arrested over 100 people in KJ Halli and DG Halli incidents. The Congress MLAs had written letters to him seeking the release of those in involved in the incidents claiming them as innocents. But none of them had condemned the incident.
