Gokak: Fake Currency Seized, Five Arrested in Kadabagatti Village

Belagavi police in Gokak discovered counterfeit currency during a routine inspection. A car passing through Kadabagatti village on the Gokak-Belagavi road was intercepted by morning patrol officers, leading to the arrest of five individuals involved in this illegal operation.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Anwar Mohammad Saleem Yadawad from Arabhavi of Mudalagi taluk, Saddam Musa Yadahalli from Mahalingapur, Ravi Channappa Hagadi, Dundappa Mahadeva Vanashenavi, and Vitthala Hanamantha from Hosakoti.

During the vehicle inspection, authorities uncovered fake currency notes amounting to ₹100 and ₹500 denominations. This alarming discovery has sparked concern among local law enforcement agencies and prompted immediate action against those involved.

A case has been registered at the Gokak Rural Police Station regarding this incident. Further investigations are underway to determine the source and extent of this counterfeit money operation.
