Illegal Clinic's Registration Permanently Cancelled, Owner Fined

Belagavi ; In a crackdown on illegal medical facilities, Deputy commissioner Nitesh Patil has ordered the permanent cancellation of the registration of ‘Shiva Clinic’ in Badakala Galli, Belgaum, for operating without permission.

The health department had recently raided and sealed three clinics, including Shiva Clinic, for violating the Karnataka Private Medical Institutions Registration Act. The Karnataka Private Institutions Registration and Kundu Deficit Relief Authority Court fined the clinic’s owner, Dr. S.A. Devgani, ₹50,000 and cancelled the clinic’s registration.

The authorities have also directed the Karnataka Medical Council to cancel Dr. Devgani’s registration. Additionally, the registration of ‘Chirayu’ Ayush Terapi Center and ‘Gurukrupa Hospital’ will be permanently cancelled if their owners fail to respond to the notices issued by the Taluk Health Officer and Taluk KPME authorized officials.

This move aims to ensure that medical facilities in the region operate legally and maintain proper standards.
