Belagavi: In a fresh incident reported, activists targeted Kannada borders and stuck pro-Maharashtra posters on private vehicles coming towards Nippani here at Kagal in Kolhapur. They also demanded that the boundary areas be merged with Maharashtra.
Speaking to reporters about the incident, deputy chief minister Laxman Savadi has requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in the Karnataka-Maharashtra boundary dispute. He noted that Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray is creating issues with Karnataka to divert people’s attention from his failure to deliver good administration. He added that Uddhav’s party activists have been targeting and defacing Karnataka buses and it is time the prime minister intervenes and resolves the issue.
The activists from Shiv Sena have continued their tirade against Kannadigas and language for long now.
