Davangere: In a distressing incident in Kodaganur, Davangere, a man stands accused of murdering his wife and discarding her body near a local lake. The victim, identified as Kavya (19), hailed from Saasalu, Holalkere taluk in Chitradurga district, while the alleged perpetrator is Sachin from Kaagalagere village in Holalkere taluk.
Reports from the police suggest that the couple, once in a relationship, had married but frequently engaged in disputes over trivial matters. The conflicts escalated to the point where Kavya left Sachin and returned to her parents’ home. Subsequently, she filed a court case seeking compensation after the separation.
Expressing frustration over the legal proceedings, Sachin visited Kavya’s native place, informing her that he needed surgery to remove kidney stones. Believing him, Kavya accompanied Sachin, who then took her near a lake and purportedly murdered her. The accused proceeded to dump her lifeless body near the lake.
Kamalamma, Kavya’s mother, filed a complaint at Mayakonda police station, providing details of the alleged crime. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
