Khanapur: A government car in which Hubbali-Dharwad West Assembly Constituency MLA Aravind Bellad was travelling met with an accident near Bailur Cross of Jamboti on Tuesday, February 25.
As per the reports, four people, including the legislator, who were travelling in the car escaped with minor injuries, thanks to the airbags.
According to the police sources, the car had toppled after hitting a retaining wall on the roadside. The accident occurred as the driver had lost control over the car.
The local residents and the police rushed to the spot and shifted all the four to another car.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered at Khanapur police station.
