Athani: During his visit to Athani, ahead of the Assembly by-polls, JD(S) leader and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy said that he never discriminated against MLAs when it came to allocating funds to the constituencies.
Addressing the media here, he said, “I never discriminated against MLAs when it came to allocating funds, and yet they are accusing me of doing so. I will take this blame for now and after December 9 we will see who the voters decide to make ‘king-makers’.”
Speaking about the by-polls that will be held next week, HDK said that his party, the JD(S) is aiming at winning six to eight seats. “The voters are the king-makers, not me. I never said that I will become the king-maker after the by-poll results are announced. The results will decide the king-maker. One thing, for sure, is that the voters are the king-makers,” he said.
By-polls will be held in 15 Assembly constituencies across the state on December 5. The results of the same will be announced on December 9.
