Belagavi city police have arrested three more individuals, including two property owners and a minor, in connection with a recent case involving the alleged abuse of a minor in Tilakwadi. One of the minors taken into custody is reportedly related to a police official serving in a nearby district.

The incident, which occurred on May 11, came to light after the victim required medical attention and the matter was reported by her family. Authorities launched an immediate investigation.

Earlier, two suspects were arrested, including a minor. On Friday, police detained Rohan Patil and Ashutosh Patil—owners of the farmhouse where the alleged incident took place. The property was reportedly being rented out informally for ₹20,000 per month and had been converted into a resort-like venue without obtaining necessary licenses or approvals.

Both property owners were presented before the court and have been remanded to Hindalaga Central Jail. The minor accused has been placed in a government juvenile facility.

This case has prompted growing concern among citizens and authorities regarding the safety of minors, oversight of hospitality venues, and accountability in property rentals. In response, police have launched a wider investigation into unregulated farmhouses and resorts operating in and around the Belagavi area.

Officials have affirmed their commitment to ensuring that all establishments comply with legal requirements and that swift, fair action will be taken against any violations.
