Belagavi: In a tragic incident, a 22-year-old youth ended his life on Friday October 29 unable to bear the loss of his beloved hero, Puneeth Rajkumar.
The deceased has been identified as Rahul Gadivaddara from Athani of Belagavi District.
According to the police, Rahul had garlanded Puneeth’s image before hanging himself at his home.
On the same day, another fan, Muniyappa (30), a farmer and native of Marur village, Hanur Taluk, succumbed to a cardiac arrest on after hearing the news of the demise of the super star. According to the sources, he collapsed to the floor after hearing the death news of Puneeth.
The 46-year-old Kannada star is fondly known as Appu and Powerstar among his fans. He died after suffering a massive heart attack on Friday. He will be cremated on the evening of Saturday October 30 in Bengaluru with full State honour.
