Belagavi: Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hegde has slammed AICC President Rahul Gandhi for his temple visits in Karnataka in the backdrop of assembly elections.
Calling these visits as a mere ‘drama’, he said that Gandhi has no devotion for the Gods.
Addressing a campaign at Tigadolli village in Kittur constituency, on Sunday, April 29, he said that when it comes to religion, the BJP will never compromise.
“It is only now that Rahul is visiting temples keeping the elections in mind. He has now realised that there are Hindus in this country. This man does not even know the basic things connected to this religion like consuming theertha in the temple etc. As per others’ directions he has been staging these shows. His visits to spiritual centres are all focused on votes,” he said adding that the Congress has only staged drama in the country over the last 70 year.
