Belagavi: What began as a night of joy turned tragic in Avaradi village, Mudalagi taluk, when a 28-year-old youth collapsed and died during celebrations following RCB’s historic IPL 2025 title win.

The deceased has been identified as Manjunath Kumbar. According to locals, Kumbar was part of a group dancing in jubilation at a public gathering where the final match was being live-streamed. As cheers filled the air and fans erupted in celebration, Kumbar suddenly collapsed.

He died on the spot, with preliminary fears suggesting a heart attack as the cause. The incident occurred between Tuesday night and Wednesday early hours, shortly after RCB’s thrilling win.

RCB’s long-awaited victory had sparked scenes of wild celebration across Karnataka, especially among die-hard fans. Sadly, for one such devoted supporter, the emotional high turned into a fatal moment.

Further medical examination and official confirmation regarding the exact cause of death are awaited.
