Belagavi: Being stuck in a horrible traffic jam while on his way to Sambra airport to catch a flight, state Minister UT Khader tried his hand at streamlining the traffic in vain and finally hitched a ride with a stranger.
The incident occurred on Friday, January 27 when Khader who was in the city was being driven towards Sambra airport here to go back to Bengaluru. However there was a huge traffic jam owing to the fact that chief minister, Siddaramaiah, was on a visit to the district through this road.
Since Khader was getting delayed to reach the airport, he himself got down from the car and tried to streamline the traffic by giving signals and shouting at drivers like traffic cops unsuccessfully.
Finally he dropped the idea and took a lift from an unknown motorist to reach the airport in time. Ironically, his car remained stuck in the jam, even after Khader reached the airport and boarded his aircraft.
